I started to compile this chart by searching the internet:

SET 740/856 (note went from 1750 in yr1994 to 342 in yr2001 {asian financial crises})

UK FTSE 100 6000/5250

NY NASDAQ 2900/2250 (note:went over 5000 in yr2000 .. tech bubble burst)

it compares the performance of the SET and other exchanges since the financial crises started, I also want to note markets that had wide swings due to a specific event like Nasdaqs tech bubble burst.. Notice here in LOS investors are doing quite well, on the average they are richer than they were prior to the wealth evaporating stock slides that directly followed the start of the recent crises in 08.. The numbers appox. the riding high numbers just before the wall street mess draged all the markets down.. the middle # i'm missing (which would represent the low between then and now eg. for the SET it's 390, at it's lowest since 740 high prior to crises it was 390 and has climbed back steadily.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a similar chart that already exists before I dig up any more info .. or if anyone wants to add to the chart or improve it(if your really bored) other wise i'll digup more data later..

OK thats enough.. notice only exchanges to do well are Thai, Philipine, Malaya, indonesia, and Korea has fared OK, the rest still down significantly.. only developing countries are making any money..
