I haven't done this for 3-4 years,

will go to Penang tomorrow and want to get a single entry Non-Immigrant Visa based on marriage there and come back here and eventually do the extension 1 year thingie at Chaeng Watthana, like I have done in the last 3 years.

What papers do I need in Penang?

The last time I have done this in Penang many years back they also wanted to see my bank statements etc.,

Normally for a single you will need a copy of wedding certificate, copy of wife's ID card and copy of household registration book, bank statement showing some money might also be helpful, as will a simple note asking for a visa for you.

There are not many reports about Penang, but a few recent reports suggest you can now get a multiple non-O there. Believe they did use an agent though.
