Chain For Cagiva Motorbike

Featured Replies

I have a Cagiva motorbike that I bought on Koh Samui. I need to replace the chain, and the "normal" motorbike shops say they do not have a chain to fit it, even though I have had it changed before (but I cannot remember if it was in CM or on Samui!). And where I had it changed before was just a regular, on the corner, motorbike shop. I don't know why I'm now having problems finding one (typical).

I've only seen one other Cagiva in CM since I've been here over a year.

Anyone?

What model is it?

It is an F4, 150cc, which I believe is the only model of Cagiva sold in Thailand as it is the only model I have ever seen here in CM or on Samui.

Here's a pic:

Go see German Joe. If you go down Chiang Moi Road from the moat turn right immediately after the phone box outside the Thai Military Bank. He is about 70 metres down on the right side. You'll see plenty of motorbikes inside the open gates between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm 6 days a week.

I'm sure it will be a standard size chain, probably a 520. You can buy an open chain with a connecting link and by removing the appropriate number of links you can make it the correct length for your bike. Joe will be able to do this for you. You should also change your sprockets if they are showing excessive wear.
