baboon
So I went to the British Embassy yesterday to renew my passport. Christ, it was expensive but I could not really find fault service wise. My Question is this - I send my new Passport to the U.K. for a new visa, show both documments when leaving Thailand and enter Malaysia on the new Passport. Where am I breaking the law? More importantly, is it feasable or am I going terribly wrong here?
PoorSucker
1. Yes you are breaking the law., 2. Did you send it from Malaysia to GB? 3. If you did nobody will notice it for a Thai Visa. 4. If Someone catch you without passport in Malaysia=Big problem. 5. If you are Muslim caning is on the penalty list in Malaysia. ( Only for Muslim )
lopburi3
You will be stamped out on your new passport, and previous entry information transferred, clearly showing the visa could only have been obtained while you were in Thailand and thus not valid. steve187
Did you not have to send to Hong Kong for the new passport? You can not be in Thailand when a visa is issued for Thailand.
baboon
Did you not have to send to Hong Kong for the new passport? You can not be in Thailand when a visa is issued for Thailand. The Embassy sent it [the application] for me. I still have my old passport. However, on the strength of Lopburis words, this idea seems clearly unfeasable as my love of Thailand does not extend to her jails. Thank you for your posts.
