Double entry tourist visa approved. My overnight mail arrived during the Thai holiday. Once they reopened, I had it back in 3days. Their Web site warns 2 weeks. Zero cost but the ovenight mail, of course, given the repeated policy. Consider this option if you need one.Cheers - J

There has never been anything wrong with the spped at which this embassy processes. Just the hassles.

I made a double w/ DC before coming out in May. I had to pay for this one. I would note that it came back astonishingly fast, esp compared to year prior when I had to call them to remind I had a plane to catch in ten days.

Nice thing to note: they gave me expiry window of six mos, maybe due to the turmoil.

I applied for my visa at the Consulate today (Friday). Due to my circumstances the lady at the information desk recommended that I get a three entry visa, it sounded good to me, so where it says number of entries I put '3' and its all good. I pick it up on Monday.

The entire visit was a pleasure. The info lady helped and the guy that accepts the application is a white guy that was able to answer my questions. No lines no waiting and plenty of on street parking all around.

Correct, if it is with reference to the Thai consulate in Los Angeles that is mentioned in the topic title.

Wrong, if it is intended to refer to all Thai consulates in the world. The consulate in Vientiane, Laos, for example, issues double-entry tourist visas valid for travel to Thailand for a period of three months only.
