Business Trip To Malaysia

I am a US citizen and will be traveling to Malaysia for a business conference. Does anyopne know if I will need to arrange for a visa or will it be visa exempt entry or if I will need a visa on arrival?

How about Thai citizens? My wife may or may not come with, but just want to check on the visa issues (if any).

I did the same thing recently, no problems, I got a 90 day stamp (UK) the wife(Thai) was given 30 day stamp.
