Hi folks,

Im currently in Thailand with a tourist visa that will be expired 23rd August. But my problem is a few days ago i submitted my application for visa i UK embassy and now my passport is stucked there. They said it would take 15 working days till i can get my passport back. It means i cant get my passport back before my Thai visa expires. And the Uk visa in in process, i dont really want to cancel it bs it took me many hours waiting at the visa center for submission.

I called to Immigration Bureau in Bangkok to ask about my situation but they didnt understand me well so im stucked as my passport lol. Someone said maybe i had to over stay for some days till i get my passport back then go to the Immigration office to pay for the fine then get visa extension. Is it possible that i just pay for the fine then go back my country without visa extension? I have never over stayed before so im quite worried if it would affect my next thailand visa in the future.

Has anyone had experiences about this. Pls feel free to recommend me. Thank you in advance.

Overstay fine is 500 Baht a day.

They may except the fine at Immigration. They may still give your extension or they may tell you to go to the airport and leave, paying your fine there. You can return straight away.

It will have no affect on future Thai Visa applications.

Don't worry.

You might even get your passport back in time.

Thank you very much for your reply. I ope i will get lucks in this. I googled the address of the Immigration office and realised that it is based in chaeng wattana that is quite a away from where i live in Thonglor. Do you have any idea of whether there is any office nearer or can i do it in police station?

I believe you are from Vietnam so must use Chiang Watanna unless here as a BOI company and authorized to use the one stop service center.
