Recommendations please.

Looking for a clean, small, mom & pop type guest house in vicinity of Wat Bun Road (Soi Wat Bun) for 2 weeks starting August 19. Nothing fancy - wireless would be great - somewhere in the 500-600 Baht per night range. Walking distance (5-10 minutes) to beach.

Maggie May's Bar has cheap rooms upstairs; they're only about 50 meters from the beach. Further down Beach Rd., just past Soi Chaiyapreuk, there are three oceanfront guesthouses in a row. Two are very good and not expensive (not talking about the ocean view rooms)- they are RS Seaside and Dolphin Place. And the new one there is called the Blue House, I believe. Lastly, if you're dead set on Soi Watboon, you can call Rolf at Majestic Condominium @ 086 0000350. He has many studio condo's available for 6,500 baht/month. He pro-rates the rent for the number of nights you want to stay. Very good deal... Good luck, farang!!
