sumrit
The UKBA has today published a list of approved providers of English language tests for non-European migrants applying to come to the UK to join or marry their settled partner. It doesn't say where the test can be taken, it's just a list of what test's they will recognize and what examination board sets them. Also, from the 'enter or remain in the UK as the partner of a British citizen or a person settled here' it appears that people already living in the UK when they make their INITIAL settlement application will also have to take the test as part of that application. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsarticles/2010/july/50-english-test-partners
