Miss Thailand Universe 2010 Catches Heat For Looking Sexy

A true lady doesn't need to show her body to have success!

Yet this miss Thailand is ready to do "anything" to be the winner but she has nothing to do with Thai tradition.

Hi Keymaker, True ladies do not enroll in a beauty contest: they have a tendency to use the phrase that "true beauty comes from within" often and sometimes even win nobel prices. I mean to say that keeping up Thai Tradition has nothing to do with having fun on a beauty contest.

I think true Ladies should sign up for the "Keeping Up Thai Tradition" contest.

Oh and before I will be misunderstood: there is nothing wrong with neither Thai tradition nor with beauty contests.

Neither does Thai Tradition have anything to do with the Miss Universe Pagent. Good for her, I think she looks great.

555 spot on Lensta you were posting it while I was writing.!!

Very Very attractive, but this is still a conservative society. :whistling:

Given that there is scarcely a town in the Kingdom without a 'Bordello', one would hardly call Thai society conservative. unsure.gif

1) To have success in what? To have success in Miss Universe, a true lady would need to show her body.

2) What has Thai tradition got to do with it? It's Miss Universe, not Miss Last Century.

So from what century does miss meat show come from?

Another non story and non issue. Women are exploited in Thailand from pimps to the ruling elite. They are beaten on TV and thrown into brothels. But if Miss Thailand looks sexy it is an issue. It would have made more sense to make an issue with the Abhisit government for appointing a brothel owner as minister of commerce. A Brothel (Poseidon) which is known for really exploiting children and minorities.<div>CNN and the NAtion do not know better, Thai visa seems to lack knowledge of Thai society too. </div>

Well done,my friend.

I don't want to mix politics with this issue, because it is not the right thread, but generally speaking, many people think I am crazy but I am fully convinced Thailand is a unique case.

If women were given the total control of the country while men were just employees, servants and street-cleaners, Thailand would be the paradise on earth.

Look at the shops, the businesses, who run almost all them. Women.

Look all the employees working hard: women.

Look how Thai women manage the family economically, while most of men are drinking whiskey or sitting watching Thai boxing.

Besides being hard worker and the true backbone of Thai economy, Thai women are also incredibly attractive and naturally incredibly sexy.

But for this machista society (more machista than South America) this is "inappropiate".

I think Thai men is some ways envy how their women are superior to them in everything, including intelligence and of course, beauty.

That's why an incredible percentage of Thai women (more than anywhere in the world) are looking for a foreigner man: money is only one of the reason and for many women is NOT a reason at all.

It is a shame in a country with such amazing women (i am talking about all their qualities) women are so exploited and downgraded by lazy pimps who distinguish themselves only for exploiting, being corrupted and violent.

Good grief! Incredible! There's so many more important things to focus on than criticism of a beautiful Thai representative. Come on...this is a beauty contest! If they want someone to be conservative, don't send anyone to represent Thailand in the Miss Universe contest. Instead, find a lady to enter the Miss Amish beauty contest!

Why is she so pro-RED. If she wear more YELLOW, then it will be more acceptable to Bangkok critics.

If you think yellow is sexy. Come on lets not make a political thing red is sexy and she looks hot. Who cares what the old boys in BKK think

http://www.missunive.../profile/468743 She is there to show her body isn't it?

Checking the link lead me to the ratings by viewers and the lovely young Thai lady was fourth highest rated.

While there, I clicked on contestants and as its alphabetized, Albania was first and her rear side pose would probably sent the prudes that have commented into hyperdrive. It was a nice view for me

Ready to do anything??? You guage that based on her showing a little leg??

Keep taking your medication and go back to sleep.

If you are talking about society in the context of the Miss Universe contest, you are a hypocrite. This is about pretty women, nothing more, nothing less. Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder. This one's a cheeky one, and some of us love that in a woman. I certainly do. Maybe she's the hot chili pepper in this competition?!

Who was flashing her fanny?? I must have missed something!

Agree. I got reminded of that, when I went with some farang men friends to see a performance in Chiang Mai. It was a very Thai sort of place, big expensive drab hotel, a large dark venue, few people, non-stop recorded dismal Thai pop music, purchase a plastic lei for a girl, etc. On stage, there was an endless display of young woman in groups of 3, 5, 7 or 9 (always odd numbers). Each woman had a sequined outfit, gobs of make-up, and walked out on stage looking as bored as if she'd been waiting for a bus for 14 hours on a dead end street in drizzle.

The point here, is the array of young women seemed never-ending. Me and my buddies must have been there 3 hours, and the girls came on and off the stage in 3 minute shifts - the duration of a bubblegum song. Every woman, without exception, did a sultry stepping motion like a trained pony - one slow step out, one slow step in, switch legs, repeat, back and forth. I don't recall seeing the same girl twice, and not one smile all night. The message to me that night was; "Thailand has mega forces at work to turn all its young women in to sex objects." Call me a prude, but that's what resonated in my mind. It was a relief to get out of there.

:Thaiflag:

To represent Thailand a person needs ability, intelligence, confidence, grace, dignity, class, charm, decorum, charisma and an outstanding personality.

Its sad that the current Miss Thailand seems to be lacking in all the above. :redcard2:

My 3 Wishes about this Thailand Topic...

1 I really hope she wins as Miss Universe!

2 I wish Thai people would try to be part of the modern world and stop being so isolated and closed minded.

3 If she wins I hope she comes to my house to celebrate!

RichB why do you judge a 20 year old so rudely? You have no evidence of any remarks of your Very Large Illegal Font post. You judge her by a photo.

One of the hottest news items currently is Miss Universe 2010 contestants who have posed for official photos topless covered in body paint or with their back to the camera. Do a search. It sure puts this topic on the back burner and shows how trivial the Thai complaints are.

Indeed you are correct.

She may be a hot piece of ass for some people, but can you honestly say she looks graceful or classy and worthy of representing anything or anybody, besides the group of Thai ladies who work in a bar, whom so it seems most of you guys are only familiar with?

Trashy look? Yes or maybe. Graceful/classy look? Definitely no.

it isn't like finding her on youtube having an orgy, like a former miss Russia.

She is being backstabbed by frustrated tuna-shaped matrons .

And both of you know everything about the girl after just seeing a couple of photos of her in TVF????
