Can My Tgf Travel To Vietnam If Her Passport Expires Soon

Featured Replies

Ok, I was all set to book flights for the pair of us to Hanoi for a week, got my visa sorted online, but noticed my girlfriend's (Thai) passport expires in november (we will travel in august). Does anybody know if there will be problems for her? I have tried searching online, but cant find info on how long the passport needs to be valid for, all I know is that as she is Thai, she doesnt need a visa like i do.

Any info would be appreciated.

Short answer NO. Need 6 months validity. This being August 17 if she has her Thai ID card and house book it only takes 7 day or less for new passport.

Not 7 days. I did mine in bangkok. You get a new passport on the 3rd day afternoon.

Thanks for the replies. Even 3 days is pushing it since we were going to fly sunday and are too busy to sort stuff out between now and then. Oh well, looks like Krabi for a week and vietnam next year!

Good idea they could refuse you boarding for the plan let alone customs refusal.
