modafinil
Hi! I have foolishly found myself in the position of needing to make a border run from Phuket very soon, as my existing stamp runs out on Monday, and I have to be back in Phuket by Sunday night at the latest. I've got a Non Immigrant O Multiple Entry Visa from the UK, so I just need to cross a border and come back again (I hope!). What are the best options for me at this late stage? Ideally I would like to do it all in 1 day, and for it to be relatively cheap. But if necessary I can leave on Saturday and come back Sunday. Any thoughts would be very welcome! bangkokburning
That run is easily done by yourself. Hop on a bus and get to Ranong and simply make your way down to the pier. You will find a small office. Stamp out. Get a boat (B50) shared and x to Myanmar - pay US10 in a pristine, new bill and return. Stamp in. Be on your way. That bus must be full of all sorts of riff-raff. I've seen it crawl through Kuriburi, I just snickered. Are people that lazy? Yup.
keeniau96
Ranong is quick 1-day trip but gets only 15 days due to land entry. Fly to Kuala Lumpur and turn around will get 30-day stamp. Can be done in one day by AirAsia, cost 5000 baht for r/t.

modafinil
Thanks very much for your help! I am going to go to Ranong as suggested, seems like the fastest and cheapest way of getting my border stamp. Cheers everybody
