Sweden Delivers Gripen Aircraft To Thailand

Whatever the scenario I think six airplanes are gonna be hard stretched to emulate the heriocs of "the few".

Still, if it happens Abhisit has a speech he can plagiarise, sorry, use as a basis for a stirring national address.

I seem to recall reading recently, the RTAF were asking in the new budget, for 6 more Grippens, so they might have a full squadron ? Before allowing for any canibalisation of parts, to keep some in-the-air, of course. Given the age of their existing-equipment, this hardly seems over-extravagent use of public-funds, IMO.

As compared to, for example, the likely-cost of a previous administration's plans, to put a Thai-national into space, within a decade or so ! One assumes on a US/Russian/Chinese/Japanese vehicle, unless a heavily-modified tuk-tuk was contemplated ? By the way, did anyone else see that 'Top Gear' programme, with the 'Robin Reliant' and a couple of rocket-boosters ? Absolutely hilarious ... British ingenuity at it's best !
