rockyysdt
Dusted ofF and recharged my little used IPod Mini the other day and am keen to utilizing the podcast feature. Can anyone recommend some good sites for downloading quality podcasts on Dhamma & Buddism? Are there any I should avoid? I'm keen to use the unproductive parts of my days to sharpen up on my dhamma knowledge, especially 4 noble truths & eightfold path & practicing mindfulness as well as information on better understanding Buddhism in general. Many thanks. R Edited August 21, 2010 by rockyysdt
Xangsamhua
I don't know much about podcasts, but I see that if you go to www.podfeed.net/ and follow the links you should find something suitable.

Thanks X. I found podcast information on "Ajahn Viradhammo is the senior monk and abbot of the Tisarana Buddhist Monastery in Eastern Ontario, Canada" at podfeed, under of all places, the heading "religion". He appears to specialise in Theravada tradition under Ajan Chah.

There's not much on Theravada, but there are 18 Zen podcasts, 10 for the Dalai Lama, 6 for Vajrayana, 5 for Thich Nhat Hanh, 5 for Jack Kornfield and 3 for Stephen Batchelor. Plenty of food for thought there.
billzant
Have you tried "Buddhist Geeks" - all traditions western perspective.
Brucenkhamen
Have you tried "Buddhist Geeks" - all traditions western perspective. I assume iPods use the standard MP# format? These two sites are a huge resource of talks; http://www.dharmaseed.org/talks/ http://www.audiodharma.org/teachers/
rockyysdt
Great contributions from all. My downloading has commenced overtime. I've got a lot of catching up to do. One of the first subjects I'm interested in is Anapanasati or "Mindfulness of Breathing".
