August 25, 201015 yr I always wanted to eat a big King Lobster cooked on BBQ without any termidor sauce for example. Many restaurant exposes their King Lobster but I'm not sure if they are really fresh. The ones on Walking streets seems overpriced. Anyone could suggest a good place to go?

August 25, 201015 yr The Rim Talay in Jomtien has an outdoor BBQ where they cook some really good prawns. Not sure if they have lobster or not. Go early, particulary on weekends as they run out of a lot of stuff by 8:00PM. TH

August 25, 201015 yr I'd be interested to know how the local lobster compares in taste to the european lobster? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_lobster (also called king blue lobster)
August 26, 201015 yr I'd be interested to know how the local lobster compares in taste to the european lobster? I think that you will be very disappointed with the taste (not much, if any) of the warm water "king" lobster as compared with the cold water "New England" lobster. They cannot in any sense be justified at the price charged (it is not "descent"). The large grilled prawns have much better flavor, are a much better choice and a better value. The curried crab is my particular favorite, which at a place like Samboon is as good seafood as you will find anywhere. There are much better places in the world to eat lobster than Thailand.
