Car Rental Issue - Need Advice Where To Rent - Lack Some Paper

Featured Replies

Long story short, I and my GF need to do an emergency travel to her parents place to help out with land-issue. We need to go there in very early morning tomorrow, and need to rent a car tonight (most likely). Rented car is preferred as she get very travel-sick if going by buss, but am ok if driving herself.

The problems: She lack any income paper. I lack drivers license in Thailand.

The rental company seemed reluctant to rent out a car to her on that basis.

I am at work now but would appreciate any info on a care rental service that might rent out to us, hopefully today. We would most likely return on Saturday morning.

Price isn't an overly big concern, it is more important we get there than not.

Was adviced that a credit card would help, but alas, I prefer debit cards and have never tried to get a credit card. (My debit card from .eu is a Visa too.)

Any rental place that might not be so much of a hassle?

Sorry you did not say where you are?

edit:oops I see it in the title now BKK

We recently sold our car so had to rent a car in Chiang Mai & all that was required is you or your wife leave your Thai ID with them till you return.

Odd I know but worked out fine...hope you find one in BKK
