August 31, 201015 yr I know the new rules don't come into effect until 29 Nov-10 but have decided it's worth getting the missus to do the course anyway especially as we are not yet able to put in for her settlement visa Worse case scenario it adds weight to her application even if we can submit it before end of Nov. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsfragments/26-english-language-partners[/url] http://www.ukba.home...ts-partners.pdf Can anyone recommend an "approved" language school in Bangkok for the missus? Cheers
September 1, 201015 yr Take your pick, although not all have offices in Bangkok. The ones that do are charging around 5-6000 baht. guidepartnersenglishrequirement.pdf
September 1, 201015 yr There are plenty of approved schools in Liverpool, but I don't think that's the sort of place you're on about. It's not the method or content of teaching that is approved, but the test itself. How one learns the language is (will be) secondary to obtaining the pass certificate from an accredited body. Scouse. September 3, 201015 yr Author Any recommendations on English language schools in BKK would be greatly appreciated Would also prefer she learns English-English rather than American-English, no offence but we do speak a different language and I don't want the missus confused too much...already got her saying/writing "Mom" instead of "Mum" which is a hard habit to get her out of...next thing you know she'll be dropping the "u" out of colour and harbour...555!!! Though if she asks me to take her to the "jewelers" I can say "Not until you learn to spell it correctly honey!" Cheers..
