Is Bkk Post Down?

Featured Replies

I live in Nakhorn Sawan, use the TT&T or 3BB network, and generally have pretty good internet speeds. For the last three or four days I've been trying to access the BKK Post website to check their exchange rate. I find the Thai Visa exchange rate much lower than other sites. Anyway, I haven't been able to connect. The status line at the bottom of the browser shows "Waiting for http://www.bangkokpost.com/" but it never loads. I have the problem in Firefox, Chrome, and IE. I've tried three different DNS servers. There are some other websites that I can't connect to, but I'd be less surprised if they were down. Did something happen to take BKK Post off-line?

No they are on line i just excised them from Chiang Mai. I see that same problem but with the Nation at times.

It's still online but takes a long time to load. It stalls on waiting for ads to load prior to the main page opening.

Hmmm. Curious. I've been able to access The Nation without trouble, but what good is that? They're just an arm of PDP. Today using Chrome I was able to retrieve the BKK Post front page from the Google cache, but it was text only. It's not a big deal, except I like to read the Post Database section, especially Wanda Sloan's column.
