September 2, 201015 yr Hi Guys, I am over 50, an Australian citizen and am currently living in Koh Samui using an APEC card to get 90 day stays. I am going to Kl this month for a " visa run " and intend to apply for a Non-O Visa which I can then change to a " long stay " here in Samui. I have not had a Non-O visa before. My question is; should I apply for a Non-O, multi or single entry based on the reason of retirement? I am not married to a Thai. I have Bt800k in a Thai bank seasoned for 1 1/2 months and can show a managers letter of confirmation. Are there any other documents I should have? I just don't want to apply for one that is going to get rejected. I assume that if I get a single entry Non-O I can apply for the " long stay " after 2 months back in Samui. I think you guys do a great job and I look forward to your response. Cheers Tony
September 2, 201015 yr You are only likely to get a single anyway. Within the final 30 days apply for the 12 month extension. Letter from bank, no more than a day old showing 800,000 plus. Updated bank book showing the same balance. Passport size photo. The fee is 1,900 Baht for the extension but you will likely be asked for 5,000 on Samui Look Here
