Thai Visa Help Please!

Featured Replies

I'm sure there is a thread for this but thought i could get the best result by starting a new thread.

Ok. so here is the deal.

I am a canadian visting thailand and i have yet to get a visa. What are the steps on getting one? I have about two weeks until my month expires and i really would like to stay for a month longer. I recently visited cambodia and got a stamp back into thailand. will this jeopardize my getting a 3 month thai visa? I understand i should have applied a visa while in cambodia. Is there a way to get my visa online? or do i have to leave thailand first? I am currently in Pattaya where is the closest place to get a visa? Is it expensive?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

thx

Double entry tourist visa 60/30 that would give you a total of 6 months are free in Vientiane Lao.

You need to exit Thailand and apply at a Consulate. Believe this can be done by services with you staying in hotels just inside Cambodia. Visa itself is free but not sure what costs are using such a service. If you want to do yourself Vientiane, Laos is a good choice and easy to get transport to Udon/Nong Khai to make the 30 minute run to Vientiane and overnight there with good food/beer.

Suggestion since you need to leave Thailand go back to Cambodia and check on the free doubles in Cambodia if you do not like what you are told go overland from Cambodia to Lao and see some of the country and get your visas there.
