I think Pattaya (Chonburi) IS an Expo in itself already. The Walking Street sure feels like it. Even better, there are walking, talking, and feely interactive displays as you grace the exhibits.

Wait a minute, I'm sorry, they already have one. It's the 'World Expose'. Interesting exhibits, international visitors....check and check.

Thailand ever hosting an international event that size? They need to concentrate on the little events first, like the 2012 Futsal World Cup. I'm cringing and scared even thinking of that one.

THis is typical of the patronising attitude of some posters on this site - they seem to think Thailand is incapable of ding anything - of course it helps them to cope with their own personal inadequaccies to try and presuade others that Thai people are not capable but they are...๕๕๕๕๕๕๕๕๕

We are not referring to Thai people in general. We are referring to Pattaya specifically. I am sorry but organising flea markets, arranging the odd highly publicised (but unsuccessful) beach clean up and rounding up every now and then street walkers/child beggars/pedophiles/drug mules simply does not count!!!!
