I realiase currency exchange rates fluctuate daily and locality, but i'm trying to find out what the current exchange rate is on the street exchange for the aussie dollar into Thai baht

depends where u go to exchange. super rich is usually the best rate. today is 28.85 http://www.superrich1965.com/app/our_rates.aspx

Most banks have a page providing the buying/selling and TT rates, and usually update them a couple of times per day. They don't all give the same rate, Super Rich gives better rates, but you can look up Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial, Kasikorn, etc.
