Moving An Installed Split Air Con From Isan To Chonburi

Wanted to see if anyone has experience moving a Mitsubishi Mr. Split split air air conditioning unit that has already been installed.

I assume I'll need to call back out my air con technician who originally installed it, but are there any other issues with moving it from my gf's home in Nongkhai via the trunk of my sedan to Chonburi? It was originally purchased in BKK, so I know it will fit, but wanted to see if any members had any tips. Thanks.

Moving not a problem, but you will need the tech. to pump down the unit and disconnect the service lines and cap them. Also plug the hole in the wall of room were the evaporater is located.

Is this a rental your moving from and is there anything in contract about having to leave any emprovement that has been done to property.

Will it be reinstalled in a similar use situation same size room. You could be wondering why the room isn't as cool or why are we freezeing out now when we didn't before.

Also, after unhooking the freon lines, be sure to cap off the "freon" lines to keep moisture out of the inside unit (wall mounted unit) freon lines and outside unit (the compressor) frieon lines which will prevent corrosion from setting up on the inside of the frion lines/valves/sensors. You probably won't have metal/plastic caps to screw on but capping the lines "securely" with something like black/electrical tape will work just fine on a short term basis.
