Dream World

Hi Everyone. I live in Chiang Mai but am taking my GF and her daughter to Dream World. We are taking the bus to BKK on Friday night and plan on going to the park on Sunday or Monday. Does anyone have any recommendations on hotels in the area and transportation means to get to the park from Bangkok (bus, taxi, etc)? I am just trying to plan ahead to make it an easy going trip and definitely appreciate any insight from those who have gone before. Thanks!

There's this thread from last year that might help, no mention about hotels in that thread. It is sort of not far from Don Muang Airport, so a hotel near there might work.

As Metisdead has said, have a look at the thread he has posted.

However, just for a little more information, it is quite a bit further on from Don Muang. You will basically need to get out as far as Future Park Rangsit, and then turn right, drive another 5 or 6 kilometers up the road and turn right and over the Klong.

Depends a lot on budget, but I think there are some hotels in the Rangsit area, along with some of the other places that are near the old airport.

BTW, if you have a Tha driver licence or WP take it, as Dream World operates duel pricing.

Or even a Thai Bank ATM Card which is sufficient enough, well it was for me a few weeks back anyway..

The foreigner price includes extra stuff such as Snow Town, so the difference isn't too bad.

I quite enjoyed the cable car ride, but for some reason they wouldn't let us off at the other end. The video is on youtube.

(Huge IT mall underneath and only a short taxi ride to either Future Shopping Mall & Dreamworld.
