Torrent User?

Featured Replies

You may need a seedbox.

I have had a seedbox for 3 days and my ratios are climbing wonderfully.

TheBox has gone from 1.1 to 1.4

UKnova from 32 to 48.

Try a Google search and see if it is the answer for you?

No, this is not spam, as I am not going to recommend a seedbox provider

I was limited by the ones that do not require PayPal.

Can you explain in short what is a seedbox and what does it do ?

With TheBox I just did a one time small donation, that upgraded my membership to 'power member' and therefor no ratio problems at all.

BTW, I usually search for docus, movies, series etc. using BitChe search software or Joongel online search engine, it bypass the sites itself and get the torrent directly from the source, beside this you can easy compare which link has most seaders etc.

BTW I guess this is OK if you have a desktop, and don't mind it running constantly, but I would just get a router with a BT client and attached storage for serious, hard-core torrenting.

I suspect you are unclear on the idea of a seedbox. I am uploading and downloading torrents now, and my home PC is turned off! A seedbox is a remote PC, of which the user rents a portion, accesses it via a web UI or remote access. Torrents are uploaded and downloaded (and stored) on that remote PC. You only use your home PC when you FTP files from the remote PC. Quite a brilliant solution for many. My ratios on private trackers are, on average, now at least 25:1! My upload speeds are unlimited (have peaked at ~ 12 Mega-Bytes per second) while my download speed is limited to 750 Kilo-Bytes per second (but has peaked to over 1 Mega-Bytes per second on occasion). FTP speeds are limited by my ADSL line (4 Mega-bits per second) to ~ 3.68 Mega-bits per second.

That pretty much sums it up perfectly.

My ratios are climbing nicely. :D

TheBox 2.11, which means the system has promoted me to Extreme User

UKNova 136

The seedbox takes the strain, and I can download what I want to my machine

without wasting bandwidth on seeding back.

In fact download seems faster without the upload running as well.
