I haven't been to the Mae Sai-Tachileik border in a while. Is it still USD10.00 or THB500.00 to enter Tachileik? Can we still pay in USD or do they expect THB now with the lousy USD exchange rate?

My American friend tried to pay the fee in US.Dollars last month. I had mentioned to him before that the sign inside the office with the payment option of Tha Baht / US$ was no longer on display. When we got there ,even with the crisp $10 bill he had, they wouldnt accept it , only Thai Baht.

The fee is still 500bht.

I went to Tachileik yesterday and Myanmar Immigration accepted USD10.00 from me.
