Hello,

This is Mrs Desert,

Does anybody's wife/partners want my life in UK revision books and practising tests? I have all the books available and will never use again. I am happy to give them to someone for free and also, I have a lot of translations on the irregular words etc in the book which could help you. Let me know by PM and I can send them to you in the UK.

Thank you forum for answering every one of the questions we post.

I got my wife on an ESOL course. I think its better than the life in the UK test . That way they learn to read and write in English, To be honest i could not pass the life in the UK test, have you seen the questions , OK you can learn them parrot fashion but that will be no good when you try and get Job. just my opinion. But nice to see sombody giving back, desertexile

Yeh, that's good for partners that are below Entry level 3 but for anyone over, a couple of weeks study is perhaps a better option.

I agree about Parrot fashion but isn't that how we passed our exams at school? <deleted>, I cant remember any of it! Either way, I dont think lifeinuk will help regards employment. My Mrs can tell you at what age eye tests become free, who has to pay for a TV license or how many MPs there are....but sod all about what HR Managers are looking for at interview!!!!

yes i agree but each to there own , My wife and I know many Thai people who have been here years and cannot read and write in English. I know a few English people as well , but if you want to get on and have a reasonable job I think Education is the way to go , but again thats just my opinion
