Morning all ,

I am based near Nong Khai and would like to visit a friend in Chiang Mai .

As this would be my first visit , any feed back on the easiest way to get there would be appreciated .

To travel by bus would be the most convenient .

Highway 2 south to Highway 12 west to Highway 11 north. About 12 hours. Drive or catch bus in Udon to Chiang Mai. No train or airline.
