Any British Guys Flown Through India To Bangkok Lately?

Featured Replies

As the title says, Im travelling Air India on 2nd Jan london-delhi-bangkok, my layover time in about 12 hours.Do I need a transit visa if I am just remaining in the airport?I have read there are special transit facillities for those who have no visa, but all the info im finding is very sketchy.PLEASE HELP

the good news is , you do not need a transit visa .

the bad news , it will take you a few hours to get thru the security .

they just love creating queues , the longer the better .

Agreed ^^^ no transit visa needed if you don't leave airside, 12 hours in any Indian airport will be heck :( Delhi is marginal (even the new terminal) Mumbai will take you over the edge.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

God ,dont stop in Dhaka, the armpit of the world, how can an airport be so crap.

Cheers guys, flying Mumbai on the return leg.

Only went this way to save some cash, seems it will bite me on the arse for certain.

Usually fly KLM, THAI, EVA, LUFTHANSA

i flew with Kingfisher through Mumbai a few months ago. My layover was 3 hours and that was 180 minutes tooooo long. The airport is a shitehole, the wc facilities stink, the security checks are a night mare ! oh and the aircon dont work there. They had male and female security checks so my 10yr old daughter was seperated from me and my son. Goodluck.

One time is forgivable to check it out - have thought about doing it myself. But does anyone admit to doing it more than once?

Make sure that you eat bland food only the day before the flight. On the flight India bound eat nothing and make sure that you go to the loo before the plane lands. Drink enough water to keep hydrated but not too much as to put pressure on your bladder. That way you might, just might, avoid having to experiencing going to the toilet during your stop over. You will thank yourself for it, believe me!!
