I have a number of Rolls-Royce Plc shares, currently trading at 611.00p. Not knowing anything about share prices, is that 611.00 GBP per share, or 611p per share ? Thanks in advance, to which should be an easy question to answer.:)

RR has market cap of $11billion (dollars or pounds, I'm not sure), shares on offer is 19mill = almost $611 (or pounds) per share.

I just checked the FTSE price for Rolls Royce. £5.99p a share.

Share prices in the UK are always quoted in pence, then fractions of pence, therefore 599.10 would be £5.99 and one tenth of a penny.
