Off-duty Police Officer crashes into a market stall as he falls asleep whilst driving his motorbike.

An early afternoon accident occurred at the ”Made in Thailand” Market on Pattaya Second Road. The victim was an off duty Pattaya Police Officer. Police Sergeant Major Komsorn aged 38 had just come off shift after a night of undercover work. As he was driving home, according to his story, he lost concentration and apparently blacked out for a moment causing him to crash into one of the market stalls. Damage caused is estimated at 10,000 Baht. The Officer was treated for minor cuts and bruises at the Pattaya Memorial Hospital and was instructed by Doctors to go home and sleep for at least 8 hours before he went back to work.
