cdnvic Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Ok, I've loaded up The mp3 player (RCA Lyra) and go through the proper eject procedures before disconnecting the USB cable, but as I disconnect, I get a fatal exception error. Any ideas? Windows 2k. No previous problems freezing, or crashing. cv
Crossy Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Try powering off the MP3 before you pull the plug. Just a thought. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
britmaveric Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Checked for software or firmware updates on their support site?
slimdog Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 You will need the following fix: System File Enhancements & Fixes (v0.17.10) Copy ALL issue fixed where files were not being recursively copied properly. MPEG4-ASP error warning added. These file types are not supported. Fixed issue if an invalid playlist is encountered during playback, device now correctly returns to navigation menu. Fixed USB disconnect issue causing "Fatal Error" message. Full info: http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/Cultures/en-US/RD2780ReadMe.htm Some people have commented that the on-line manuals are better than what is shipped with the hardware. You may find an on-line manual(depending on make) at: http://support.radioshack.com/support_tuto...video/mp3-9.htm Hope this helps
