Deserted
Hi guys, is there an equivalent for the expression 'a broken family' in Thai? This could mean: a) a family that has fallen apart from divorce, which is not what I'm interested in. or b ) a family that contains unmarried partners, with children from different spouses. That's more like what I have in mind. Many thanks for any help
saakura
Not sure if this should be posted on the Thai Language forum, but you will definitely get some right answers if you ask over there
Deserted
Why should it not be posted in the language section. It is the expression and it's translation that I am after.
Rikker
I believe "ครอบครัวแตกแยก" is the Thai equivalent term, but this is the same as meaning (a) of your post. As for meaning (b ), I wasn't aware that that was a possible meaning of the English phrase. I'd tend to call that a type of "blended family."
