Apecks
Hi, I have a mutilple entry non-imigrant O visa obtained from the Hull consulate in the UK which expires on the 9th December. Visa was granted to carry out some courses here which I have still not completed. Can I get an extension here in Thailand or do I have to get a new visa back in the UK. Thanks in advance for any help.
InterestedObserver
If by courses you mean at a government approved school or university, then you can apply for a maximum 1 year extension of stay from immigration. Check with the school for the necessary documentation. Edited November 27, 2010 by InterestedObserver
Mario2008
If the visa expires on the 8th, you can just leave and re-enter the country on the 6th or 7th. Upon return you will get another 90 days. If that is not enough, you could get a ED-visa with paperwork from your school, to recieve 90 day extensions. A 1 year extension will only be given if you study at an university.
