I have a friend whom is currently on a Marrage 1 year visa, He does not want to lose his visa, This middle of this month, i am going to take a trip to loas for a visa, and he may want to go with me (since he has never been there before) he would like to see something new.

I informed him about re-entry permits, but he had a question that i was unable to answer

Question: If i apply for a re-entry permit now do i have to leave now, or can i apply now and use it later, ? how does this work

do you have to apply for one before i leave, or can you spefify the dates that you will leave and come back weeks or days before hand,

Apply any time you like. It is valid up to the end of current permision to stay.

Thank you for your quick reply, i am aware it seems confusing, i say its my friend and the question uses the word "I" cause i type it as if he was asking the question, and not me lol

Don't forget to apply for the re-entry pernit at the same immigration office where the visa extension is given.

( if he received a one year extension in the country off-course )
