90 Days Report

Featured Replies

My last entry in Thailand was on 17 Sept 2010 and can stay till 15 Dec 2010.

On 25 Nov 2010 I received an extension of stay till 15 Dec 2011 at Pattaya Immigration .

Which day is counting as start for 90 days report? Thank You

You do not do 90 day reports on normal visa entry as you will not be here more than 90 days.

It appears that he is on an extension of stay. Am I mis-reading that?

OP

Many times immigration counts the first extension as a 90 day report.

Did they put a paper in your passport with the next reporting date?

If not, and it was me, I'd err on the side of caution and use the September date as Day 1.

Probably the worst that could happen is they'd tell you to come back 90 days from the November date.

As he is staying for one year the 90 day report will be required, I guess he got a one year extension based on either retirement or marriage, as I understand it (and no doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong) the 90 day clock starts from the day of arrival therefore his 90 day report is due on 13th December 2010 +/- 7 days

???? Looks like the OP has an Extension of a Non-O, thus 90-day reports required. No?

temp in Laos for a few days, coolish here

If your extension was the first time than the date of application ( Nov.25 ) should count as a 90 days notification, otherwise start counting from Sep. 17

I was reading his can stay till 15 Dec 2010. as meaning he had a tourist visa entry and was late doing the 30 day extension of stay, doing it on the 25th so only get an extension until 15 December. Missed the 2011 date. More eye drops.

If on an extension of stay the day of application is normally considered your first 90 day report so first TM.47 would be due 90 days later. As poster did not specifically say application was 25 November can not be sure but suspect he must be talking about a retirement same day approval.
