Shipping From London/Kent To Bangkok

Hey can anyone recommend a good shipping company for shipping to Bangkok from London or Kent to Bangkok?

I've sorted the airshipping already, but the rest (around 16 boxes of non-essentials) I would rather send by land/sea

I can't reccommend a company, but I would suggest you pay a bit more for door to door service, and transact the business using a Thai persons name.

My problems started when the stuff arrived in Bangkok. I shipped 6 x teachest sized boxes full of general household stuff. My wife and I arranged to pick the boxes up from the port. I got caught for 13,000 baht tax. I wasn't allowed to check the boxes until I paid the bill.

Two boxes had been broken into, and items stolen. Customs were not interested. They basically told me to <deleted> off or they would charge me extra for storage.

To this I can add a Bkk based company with fluent English. They have 2 names: Asian Tigers and Transpo International. Maybe not the cheapest but absolutely faultless with 1 shipment Cyprus to Chiang Mai and 2 from English Midlands to Chiang Mai.

And no interference whatever from Customs in Bkk.
