I was wondering if dish (food accompanying rice) is called กับข้าว . Then is mixers(drinks that is use to blend with hard liquor/alcohol like soda, pepsi, plain water) called 'gap lao' ? I couldn't find any word that is related to 'mixers'. So that is my rough guess of the word. Thanks alot~!

The Thai word for "mixer" is มิกเซอร์ (mik-ser).smile.gif

กับเหล้า should get a good laugh from your Thai friends if you explain the logic behind it. It does make sense...

With that logic of a mixer surely it should be ราดเหล้า :D

in Thai:

mixed drink = เหล้าผสมเครื่องดื่ม

Another leap of logic: if male servers in bars and restaurants are known as บ๋อย, what should their female counterparts be called? Why, เกิ๋ร์ล, of course. laugh.gif

As we are doing funny logic, why not call a mixer หางขนไก่ ....

A mixed drink, you mean...wink.gif

I don't get that one, explanation please.

Instead of ต้องถอน you could try ขนหมา for a hangover cure.

หางขนไก่ means tail of a chicken/cock or cocktail (just a joke)
