The Business Involved Getting A Uk Passport

Featured Replies

Any proof needed how commercial it has become obtaining a New UK Passport for the holder of a current Uk Passport should try getting information inThailand.

The UK Consulate Website in Thailand lists conflicting information , It states that you can pay for a new passport (via Hong Kong of course) and can buy using a Debit Card if it is Visa or Mastercard . The Application form states Credit cards only. I telephone the UK consulate in Bangkok, I am told it is Credit card only but to be sure contact the UK Hong Kong Consulate , Then answerphone messages tell me I have to contact the agency now dealing with the passport payments. CARELINE in the UK, I telephone there and get this message about 69p per minute for the call , thinking ok I will be billed by phone company in Thailand but NO, The guy in the UK asks me for my credit or DEBIT card details so they can take payment at 69p a minute before they will talk to me or give any information. IT really shows the Profiteering from an organization thats in theory supposed to be beneficial to its own citizens, Yes the UK Government ..SUCKS

PS . Anyone have any personal experience getting a new UK passport Via Hk, and paying with anything other than a Credit Card?
