Can anyone provide info. on where to get a large car/van in Khon Kaen.

Large enough for 4 adults and 2 kids.

Airport: all the big companies

Centre near Kosa & Pullman....various companies.

Before I bought my own car these 2 companies always played it straight with me.

Another possibility is Thai Visa car hire (link from this site) which will arrange a Budget vehicle from the airport quite a bit cheaper than a direct booking. If you were minded to drive up from BKK they also throw in free one-way hire for rentals of 3 days and over. I think there are two companies at the airport and that the other one is Avis. Have hired this way twice in 2010 with no problems and thought the price was very good. There is a zero insurance excess with Budget (although the second company TV deals with does have an excess)
