I Have 5 Tourist Visas Already, Easiest Place To Get New One?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just been refused a tourist visa in Vientiane because I have too many visas already. In case it matters, the 5 visas I have are from Penang, Phnom Penh (2), and Vientiane (2, one of which was double entry), and are from the past one and a half years.

Given this situation, I am wondering if anyone might have any advice about where I might have the best chance of getting a new visa. Obviously no one can say for sure, but I would particularly appreciate any first-handd stories from anyone who has five or more visas and has applied anywhere in the region in recent months - successfully or unsuccessfully.

Thanks for any help.

Going by the link below, you were right to be in Vientianne

No, they didn't put any red stamp in my passport, they just flipped through the pages, asked me what I do in Thailand and then told me I have too many visas.

I tried to find an "agent " to do it for me while in Vientiane, but didn't find anyone who really seemed reliable, so now am back in Bangkok (on 15 days) and considering my next move...

Forget Kota Bahru. Few weeks back they refused somebody their first tourist visa after their 'non imm O' had expired and have been demanding to see bank statements to issue a third tourist visa irrespective of where the previous TV's where issued. They seem to have a bee in their bonnet at the moment.
