bigt116
Hi all, I am currently on a 60 day extension of stay to a Single entry Non-O for the purpose of visiting my Thai daughter. I have been offered a job, so my question is; Can I and my future employer go to immigration and change my extension of stay to a Non-B and so start the paperwork for a work permit ? If so, does anyone know what sort of paperwork would be needed ? (My employer has only done this once before and that was for someone who already had a Non- Many thanks
Mario2008
You are on an extension of a non-O visa, on which you can get a work permit. Procedure would be to apply for the work permit and once that is done you either get the work permit or the wp3 form that you have applied for the work permit. Now you can extend your stay in Thailand either on you having a daughter (but he needs to be your legal doughter, so you must have legitimised he under Thai law, and in most cases people didn't do that) or based on your employement. I think in practise you will need to get the extension of stay based on employement.
