After changing the batteries in the remote control to a Hitachi Aircond, there is no longer any indication of the temperature. Before the battery change it showed the temperature in degrees celsius.

I can choose "too warm" or "too cool" and the a/c do as i want, but I can't set the temperature as before.

I have reset the remote with a little pen, and all LCD's seems to work when the remote "boots up".

Any ideas? Can't find the bloody manual....

You don't have a super cool function or some other setting that could cause it? You changed the battery because? If had no display before/when you changed the battery perhaps it has failed. I don't have any Hitachi so not sure if any other setting that could cause that. You are sure new battery is up to voltage? And installed correctly?
