mijan246
One persons view on Volunteering Spent last weekend in Korat (Chok Chai) Frid, Sat, Sun volunteering at a Government School with 9 other "farang's". It was an excellent weekend covering conversation skill expansion with students, Thai teachers, parents and some local business owners (all together approx 120). A very rewarding experience for all. Our hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a good weekend and the true Thai culture shone through. "Ajarn Ying" advertised on www.ajarn.com and took a huge risk with 10 previously unknown "farangs" arriving" I am happy to say her gamble paid off in diamonds - our input was greatly appreciated and many new friendships were forged. On the legal side of the coin it was interesting that the weekend was sponsored as English for Tourism and copies of our details submitted to cover the accomodation and food accounts. This I believe shows that there are ways "volunteering" can be legal with no concerns re No WP. Mijan246
