I'm looking for cheap 4-6000 Baht per month clean single room in Phuket town or Kathu with TV and internet access for around .

I know you said 6k as your top budget, but in case you don't find anything you like, BL mansion just at the foot of Patong hill (Kahtu side) has lovely little one bedroom flats for about 8k. Well that's what they used to be a while back, can't see them having gone up too much. Anyway, the couple who own it are lovely, and it's a nice clean place to live. Free wi-fi included.

P.S I hope for your sake that bloke isn't you in that picture 'Douglee' because he's <deleted>*king annoying!

I'm assuming it's because it's 5am and I've had very little sleep for 2 days, but that was mildly amusing.

Immerse yourself into world pop culture, look for dawson creek and you'll get it

Thawee Mansions in Takua Thung road off Kra road, west of Robinson's and next road past Phuket road and Kra road intersection has very modern clean quiet rooms for rent from 3,000 baht a month up (circa 2007).

Very nice Thai area close to Saphin Hin sports area and public transport nearby with "pink buses".

Behind Big C in Bang Yai Road there are many clean little guesthouses behind the little restaurants around 4,000 baht up, ask anyone in the area.

Further down Bang Yai road across from Hyperbaric Chamber is Keyoon Mansions recently changed to another name. Rooms are quiet and 7,000 baht a month and has large swimming pool.

On other side of road back up towards Big C is the luxury Baan Suan Place from 8,000 baht long term . Excellent place! but maybe out of your price range.

The area is close to shopping Lotus Big C Central etc and close to public transport. Nearby restaurants are good and cheap.
