NFL Playoffs: Ravens defeat Chiefs 30-7, Packers beat Eagles 21-16

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI (BNO NEWS) -- Sunday's NFL Wildcard games ended with the Baltimore Ravens beating the Kansas City Chiefs 30-7 and Michael Vick's comeback season with the Philadelphia Eagles ending in a 31-16 loss against the Green Bay Packers.

The Ravens (13-4) defense stepped onto a packed Arrowhead Stadium with over 72,000 people to lead them into a convincing victory over the Chiefs (10-7), holding them to only 161 total offense and one touchdown, while forcing five turnovers. Baltimore's offense was led by quarterback Joe Flacco, who completed 25 of his 34 passes for 265 yards and throwing two touchdown passes.

With two minutes left in the first half, the Chiefs seemed on the right track to what would have been their first playoff victory in 17 years, leading the game 7-3 after a 41-yard touchdown run by Jamaal Charles. The Ravens, however, ended the half with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Ray Rice to take a 10-7 lead. With a third and fourth quarter touchdown, Baltimore took the decisive 30-7 lead.

The Packers (11-6) were led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers who threw 3 touchdown passes and 180 yards, but the team's running game - led by rookie James Starks' 123 yards - was the key factor in dominating the clock, which ended in a victory.

Eagles' quarterback Vick had a sensational comeback season after serving his prison term, and he ended his season by completing 20 of 36 passes for 292 yards and a touchdown.

However, Vick threw an interception to Packers' Tramon Williams with 33 seconds left as he desperately searched for a game-winning touchdown. During the game, Eagles' Pro Bowl kicker David Ackers missed two field goals in a game that was decided by 5 points.

The Ravens are now set to face the Pittsburgh Stealers in the next round on Saturday, while the Packers will be facing the Atlanta Falcons.
