Multi Entry O Visa

Featured Replies

I am currently about half way through my visit to Thailand, I arrived last July with a Multi Entry Non Immigrant visa from Hull Consulate, UK. When I applied I said I was visiting friends and gave the address. When I go back to the UK in May I want to re apply for the same visa and return to Thailand end of June begining of July. After reading a few topics on here recently I am wondering if things have changed or there is something I dont know. Can I be successful in getting an Non Immigrant 'O' visa stating I am visiting friends again? I can give an address where I expect to be, I can get a photo copy of a ID card if required?

Thanks for any information forthcoming. I am 64 if that makes a difference.

It might well be that you cannot for the reason of visiting friends. It is not sure yet. Things are changing all the time and no one is 100% sure what will be the policy in 5 month time.

Instead apply for the reason of exploring retirement as you are over 50.

As you say 5 months away, perhaps it is worth giving them an email or phoning, but I am thinking of spending 10 months of the year here and 2 in the UK. I will soon be claiming my pension, so I could go for the retirement option in the future but then those lovelly chaps in Whitehall will freeze my pension although I would save a bit on not having to do the border visits. So is it possible, under current rules, to keep applying for a Non Imm 'O' Visa year after year either visiting friends or exploring retirement as options?
