Frenchman arrested for threatening another foreigner in south Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Police arrested a 19-year-old French national at a hotel in south Pattaya after he had threatened an Englishman and his Thai girlfriend at their room in the same complex. About an hour before sunrise on Tuesday the receptionist at the Prima Place apartment on Third Road in south Pattaya called police to attend the scene as a 19-year-old French national, Salim Azzug, had threatened an Englishman and his Thai girlfriend with a long-bladed knife.

Something tells me that "Salim" is not one of your more traditional Frenchman but one of the newer darker skinned varieties

How come every Frenchman ,or other "European" doing bad things here in Pattaya sounds as if he comes from Somalia or some middle eastern country? about as French as my Thai wife.

Its getting that way unfortunately.

I was going to make a smartass comment until I read;

when he exited the lift he went to his room, grabbed his knife and went to the Englishman’s room and tried to break in, banging the knife against the door.

He was lucky the police arrived before he did something even more stupid that would have possibly resulted in the loss of life.

Alcohol + teenagers+ethnic squabbles = Trouble
