Copy the CD to hard disk first and then write the CD files on the hard disk to a blank CD (you will have to take out the first CD and replace with a blank.)

If you use your cd-writer software it will have a choice to make a copy. You insert the source, it will read it in then ask you to put the blank disk in.

consider ripping your CDs to MP3 format

This is an excellent suggestion.

If you can playback mp3s, then this will allow you to put about 200 tracks onto a single CD.

Windows Media Player lets you rip a CD to an MP3 in a couple of clicks. If you connected to the net when you insert the CD, it adds all the track/album names to each file

Just make sure that you change the options from wma to mp3 files

Mp3 is way to go - if you use MP3 pro - compression is even smaller. I've ripped over 500cds and downloads - which takes up roughly 20GB.

Ripping actual copies - use Nero - normally breaks most copyright prediction.
