Tiger airways Birthday special

Tiger Airways, Singapore’s low-fare airline, will offer promotional fares every Wednesday until the end of this month, to celebrate its first anniversary.

The airline, which started selling tickets on August 31 last year, kicked off its promotion yesterday with a one-day sale of a S$1 (Bt24.50) fare for selected flights this month from Singapore to Hat Yai.

“We’re in a celebratory mood and want to reward our loyal customers with a series of ‘Wild Wednesday’ promotion specials,” said CEO Tony Davis.

Not much use having an article in The Nation on the 1st September for a one day sale the day before is it?

Just checked the Tiger web site a flight 21st September (Wednesday) Singapore-Hat Yai is S$39.98 but on top of that there is S$50.25 of add-ons tax/insurance etc taking it up to S$90.23 one way which is by my reckoning 2250 baht approx.

Not quite such a reason to be celebratory........ :o
